Ellison Wofford’s path to tea began in the wine world. After a decade in Napa, spanning commercial lending, winery leadership at RAEN, and trade development for Bella Oaks, Ellison set out to create something that honored the rituals of wine while embracing a more holistic way of living. A longtime student of yoga, she recognized the natural overlap between tea, wellness, and the sensory language wine lovers know so well: structure, aromatics, texture, and place. Susurrus was born from that intersection—a sparkling, non-alcoholic expression designed to be wine’s “sober sister,” equally at home at the table, in celebration, or in moments of quiet reflection. Named for a soft whisper or murmur, Susurrus invites us to slow down, listen, and savor what’s in the glass.
Crafted from oolong tea grown in Fujian and delicately perfumed with magnolia blossoms from Guangxi, this sparkling tea captures the feeling of early spring—fresh, luminous, and effortlessly graceful. The texture is silken and refined, with creamy floral aromatics unfolding into bright, fruit-driven notes of candied melon, papaya, and crisp pear.
