When facing a busy work day, we prioritize the easy answers, like responding YES when asked if we would sit with Kinou Cazes-Hachemian, fifth generation to the iconic Château Lynch-Bages. Let us just say, tasting beautifully crafted Bordeaux after an onslaught of Napa Cabernet during Premiere Napa Valley was actual therapy!
For generations, Lynch-Bages has been synonymous with the power, elegance, and longevity that defines the finest wines of Pauillac. With a legacy that dates back to the 18th century, this Grand Cru Classe has become an icon of Bordeaux, consistently producing wines that captivate with their depth and structure. Under the stewardship of the Cazes family, the estate has flourished, blending tradition with innovation, culminating in the completion of its state-of-the-art winery in 2020.
The relatively cool, dry summer in Pauillac prompted the development of remarkable acidity. Fragrant and perfumed, this wine is in its prime drinking window. Fruitful and juicy yet with serious, concentrated tannings. There is spice from the wood aging along with a dash of pepper. The palate if full bodied and taught with silky tannins and a long flavorful finish.
