Jayson Woodbridge, owner/winemaker of Hundred Acre & Fortunate Son, is a renegade vintner. Robert Parker describes Jayson as "one of the wine world's most compelling, outspoken, irreverent, bigger-than-life personalities, who can get away with just about anything he wants to say or do simply because year after year he proves what great wine is all about." Since his first vintage in 2000, he has consistently produced the most opulent, luxurious, critically revered, and sought-after wines in the Napa Valley. Parker has bequeathed a bevy of 100-point scores to his wines, making for a waitlist of over five years to acquire them from the winery. Hundred Acre has received over TWENTY 100-point scores from Parker and the Wine Advocate! With the launch of Fortunate Son Wines, Jayson is looking to add another "championship belt" to his collection; and we at ACME are sitting ringside, ready to cheer on his new knock-out lineup.

For those of you that follow Jayson and all his winemaking endeavors, the Fortunate Son name may ring a bell. From 2006 to 2012, Jayson made wine under this label alongside two friends, William Kimble & Chris Radomski. The 2018 revival of Fortunate Sons is solely Jayson's project with the new philosophy to showcase the best of Napa's small, family-owned vineyards. Fortunate Sons re-debuted with three wines, The Dreamer, The Warrior, and The Diplomat. All unique and inspiring in their ways, the collection will eventually grow to include seven wines in subsequent vintages. Ever the visionary, Jayson scribes a quote on each wine that he believes speaks to the essence of the bottles' contents and changes with each vintage as the wines evolve.
