Fait-Main is truly handmade, with fruit coming from the famed Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, located here in the western foothills of St. Helena. Andy Beckstoffer purchased this amazing site in 1983, but local records show that grapes have been grown on this property since the 1880s. Located on the west side of St. Helena, at the lower foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains, it boasts gravelly, well-drained soils that produce powerful, structured Cabernet Sauvignon. Bold and positively brimming with blueberry pie notes: everything from the juicy berry fruit to the warming spice to the toasty baked crust. There are no sharp edges on this wine, it is luscious and velvety from start to finish. Such an impressive and hedonistic example of this iconic vineyard, and of Benoit’s artistic vision. Be forewarned that when you do open this wine, you’ll regret not stocking more!
