Kosta Browne was born from humble beginnings and fueled by an unwavering passion for crafting extraordinary wines. Founded by Dan Kosta and Michael Browne, who embarked on their journey while working together in a local restaurant back in 1997. With limited resources but boundless determination, they set out to create something special.

Michael's efforts led to establishing invaluable relationships with key growers in Northern California, while Dan, along with the assistance of their partner Chris Costello, worked tirelessly to promote and distribute their wines. Their combined dedication laid the foundation for what would become an acclaimed wine brand.

In 2011, a pivotal moment arrived when the 2009 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir was honored as Wine Spectator's prestigious #1 Wine of the Year. This recognition only deepened their commitment to unwavering quality and ignited a continued pursuit of excellence. Kosta Browne has consistently embraced innovation, pushing boundaries, and welcoming unconventional approaches in the cellar to craft captivating Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines of elegant intensity.
