PerUs Bryn Proprietary Red Napa Valley 2019

PerUs was founded by private equity manager Anmol Bhandari who subsequently assembled a band of like-minded individuals with a passion for wine. The wines in this portfolio take their names from cherished family members of the team. Anmol counts Master Sommelier Ronan Syburn as an advisor and tapped award-winning designer Michael Vanderbyl to craft the finest labels. But perhaps his greatest coup de grâce was the enlistment of Russell Bevan (Château Boswell, Lerner Project, Adversity) as head winemaker. Russell’s wines have garnered multiple 100-point scores in numerous publications in his decade-plus as winemaker. For PerUs, he has sourced fruit from two of Napa Valley’s most prestigious vineyards: Sugarloaf Mountain and the Tench Vineyard adjacent to Screaming Eagle in the heart of Oakville. ACME was honored to receive a small allotment of these gorgeous wines by PerUs. Theirs is a meeting of the minds that results in perfection for your cellar.

Led by Merlot, with a hefty dollop of Cabernet Sauvignon, Bryn exhibits a deep purple core and is bursting with aromas of ripe raspberry, bouquet garni, and flavors of Bing cherry and Belgian chocolate. Beautifully concentrated, full-bodied, and complex, this wine is eminently drinkable now but will cellar nicely for 15-20 years. 300 cases produced.
