Old vineyards planted in sandy soil in the California Delta within the Lodi AVA are the source for Lorenza. These vineyards are farmed by honest people who each year commit to keeping their ancient vines in the ground with a focus on farming mindfully and organically! Old vines are inherently stable, producing a wine that successfully evolves with time. We have found the fruit to have great depth even at the tender stage of ripeness that we all desire.

The 2020 vintage takes these lovely ladies to a full circle moment with a return to the Mourvèdre-forward blend that was the foundation of their first two vintages. Mourvedre picked early for rosé provides texture, angles and presence on the palate. The revered benchmark rosés of Bandol are serious, age worthy, transcend fads and not surprisingly, the wines are dominant Mourvèdre. All of the fruit is 100% sustainably farmed within the Lodi AVA with a blend of 40% Mourvèdre, 28% Carignan, 16% Grenache and 16% Cinsaut. The wine is gorgeous with a charming rose gold hue. Aromas of white peach, orange blossoms and Asian pear fill the glass. The wine enters the palate with an elegant and layered expression of cranberry, passion fruit, wild strawberries and tangerine. The 2020 finishes long with juicy watermelon and a squeeze of key lime. A mouthwatering, extremely clean and crisp libation for all the time enjoyment!
